Naples Nursing Announces Change of Ownership and Location

Naples Nursing Management Services (NNMS) announces a change of ownership made effective June 1, 2004. "We are very excited to be able to continue the tradition of quality care that has made Naples Nursing stand out in the community." comments Naples Nursing’s President, James J. Talano. As part of the transition process NNMS underwent a recertification and survey process with the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA). NNMS is very pleased to announce that the company passed the unannounced survey free of any citations and is now prepared to accept patients.

The NNMS offices of have also been recently relocated to the Colonial Square Office Park on Goodlette Road in Naples. The new mailing address is 1112 Goodlette Rd., Suite 201, Naples, FL 34102. About the New Owner:

Mr. Talano has more than 15 years of healthcare industry experience from a wide variety of perspectives. Prior to acquiring NNMS, Mr. Talano was President of Advanced Vital Technologies, a seed-stage company developing solutions to enable cost-effective, dialy monitoring of patient vital signs in the home in concert with an innovative home health care agency model. Prior to AVT he held the position of Vice President Finance and Business Development for Medical Systems Management, Inc., a provider of software and consulting services to hospitals and named among the “Top 100 Healthcare IT Companies” by Healthcare Informatics. Mr. Talano was responsible for the successful structuring, negotiation, and coordination of the sale of MSM to Picis, Inc. completed in April, 2002 for more than $30 million.

Mr. Talano's professional experience also includes a period with First Consulting Group, a leading provider of information-based consulting, integration, and IT outsourcing services to healthcare organizations in North America and Europe. He has also held the positions of Director of Managed Care and Director of Information Systems Integration for a community hospital based integrated delivery network. He holds a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration with concentrations in Finance and Quality Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mr Talano lives in Naples with his wife and two young children.
